Stewart Park is a family owned 160 acre property fronting onto the Fitzroy River at Alton Downs  18km north west  of Rockhampton.

Established as a Thoroughbred Stud in 1978 by John Wedmaier a well known local breeder and identity, Stewart Park has stood many well known local thoroughbred Stallions.

Whilst we have continued with thoroughbred breeding on a small scale currently standing one stallion :Encores", our main equine focus is in providing a quality agistment service to horse owners.

We provide care for horses of all description including  general riding horses, thoroughbred and harness horses, mares, weanlings and yearlings.
We also offer foaling down, weaning, and handling of young horses.

Stewart Park is also the base for our consultancy business where we offer advice and various levels of assistance, including liaison with Indigenous groups, development of cultural heritage agreements, organisation and coordination of cultural heritage works and projects.
